SUNDAY: The convention starts on Sunday evening, November 6th. Convention registration, site tour, vendors’ rooms and a wonderful hospitality room will open at approximately 5:00 PM. Late evening activities include unofficial balloon and face painting jams nightly at the Sidewalk Café. MONDAY: The GRAND OPENING class starts at 8:00 AM on Monday morning. Be there for door prizes and announcements. Convention registration will again be open at 7:00 AM for those who did not register on Sunday. Classes will be given from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Face painting classes will be available all day with three other class topics offered each session. Competition meeting will be at 5:30 PM. People’s Choice Balloon Competition is at 6:30 PM (be there to vote by 7:00). David Bartlett’s show and the vendors’ show follow with more prizes. TUESDAY: There will be four class topics offered in each session, with balloon twister classes featured all day from 9:00 AM to 6:15 PM. The “Jungle Safari” Theme Party will be that evening WEDNESDAY: Face painting and balloon twisting competitions will run during the day with three concurrent options of classes/workshops. Junior Joey make-up competition and skit competitions will run in the evening. Make-up/costume critiques will be available by appointment. Afterwards, enjoy and participate in Open Mic, non-competitive presentation of skits and talents for everyone. THURSDAY: Paradeability competition is in the morning. Very possibly jamming. Then be sure to come to the general meeting from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, which will include proposed by-laws changes and election of officers. The Convention ends with an Awards Banquet with entertainment Thursday evening (included with the convention price). Plan to travel home on Friday.
